Need a gas trench or power trench dug and don’t want to use a shovel, then SMT have all your hire and skilled operator needs.

All of our employees are fully licensed excavator operators and can do a range of things - power trenches, dig footings, site preparation, soil dumping, a hole for your swimming pool, and the list goes on.

We have a tipper truck also, meaning you don't have to be left with mountains of waste material, or find a separate contractor to carting it away.

Our range of excavators can do any job. We have machines that can fit through doorways so tight access isn’t a worry here. We also have larger machines that can dig up to 2.5m deep. Our machine sizes are 1 tonne (which goes down to 760mm wide), 1.7 tonne, 2.5 tonne and 3.5 tonne... Whatever the job, we have the machines and experienced operators to get it done!

We charge an hourly rate for machine and operator hire, dependent on if you need one or two or more helpers.
